Determined, Strong, Optimistic

Ali was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at two weeks old. She and her mother have been determined from the beginning not to let Cystic Fibrosis define her and keep her from being who she wants to be.
Ali is a student at the Denver School of the Arts. She focuses on dance and spends 30 hours + a week dancing. She plans to go to New York to be a professional dancer and doesn't let CF get in the way of her preparation. In spite of the pills and treatments she deals with every day, she maintains a positive attitude, a focus on dance and keeps her eyes set on her future.
"I think it's important to show people what you can do with this disease and show them that this disease is not going to let you stop living if you don't let it." - Ali
Ali and her mom are grateful for the AffloVest because they both believe it will help her maintain treatments even when life in New York is busy. She can even get her treatments in on the subway! We, at the Colton Underwood Legacy Foundation, are proud of Ali and her determination. We fully expect to see her dancing in the Big Apple with her name in lights! We wish Ali all the success she dreams of.
Ali and her mom thought they were going to Children's Hospital Colorado in Denver to help Colton select the Colorado recipient of the AffloVest and were surprised to learn that the recipient was Ali! Special thanks to the Public Relations and Cystic Fibrosis care teams for their support and their participation in the reveal. Our generous project sponsors were also there ... Robert Perea and Darren Cesmat from AffloVest and State Farm agents Scott Underwood, Eddie Olivas and Joel Kruschwitz!.
